What a Vehicle check tells you
Finance owing
Whether a bank or lender has a registered security interest. Buying a car with undisclosed finance means the lender can repossess it.
Written-off status
Whether the vehicle has been declared a total loss by an insurer. Some written-off vehicles are repaired and re-sold — this flag tells you.
Stolen records
Whether the vehicle has been reported stolen. Purchasing a stolen vehicle can result in seizure with no compensation.
